During your entire life, you’ll experience the worst and the best from everyone you’ll encounter, and most of the times, you’ll be unaware of how much these experiences affect your attitude towards others. We grow more positive or negative, depending on the amount of negativity or positivity accumulated from our experiences, and depending also on how we handle them within us. But are we victims? We fell in love, and after we got married, she said that instead of stepping on a glass at the end of the ceremony, she wanted to step on a cassette case since that’s what she’d been doing ever since she met me. #3 I was a shy, skinny, Irish Catholic geek from Boston. I’d never met anyone like Renée before. I moved to Charlottesville for grad school, and we depended on music to keep us together. #4 When we were married, we lived in Charlottesville, Virginia. We would often drive her 1978 Chrysler LeBaron through the mountains, looking for vinyl records and finding buried treasures on scratched-up 45s for a quarter a pop.
